Those are my personal distilled notes on the great work done on colloquial Tibetan by Franziska Oertle and the SINI Sarnath International Nyingma Institute. They are not revised by teachers and might confuse you unless you are familiarized with the course material. I recommend you to not use these notes independently unless you have been exposed to the material before.

Rules
- Directly follows non-verb or verb in present tense (no conjugation)
- Always in བདག mode
- No ལ་དོན་ used after དུས་
Other part of the sentence can be in any tense.

Remember
If the action performed at that time was habitual we use the present tense instead of the past: ང་ལོ་ཆུང་ཆུང་ཡིན་དུས་རྩེད་མོ་མང་པོ་རྩེ་པ་ཡིན།གི་ཡོད།
Negation
✅ With non-verb “to have” isn’t strange:
- ང་ལ་དངུལ་མེད་དུས་ཟ་ཁང་ལ་འགྲོ་གི་མེད།
It’s strange to express negation using དུས་
